SKERRIES FBD RÁS STREET ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMMECome and have a family fun day at the Seaside!Skerries, in North County Dublin, is hosting the Final Stage of the FBD Rás International Cycle Race for the third year running. There will be a Street Party kicking off the day at 12:30pm on Strand Street with a range of activities for all ages. FUNFAIR STALLS
Win prizes at traditional funfair stalls, with games such Tin Can Alley, Hoopla stalls, and Apple Bobbing, along with some new innovative game stalls such as the Buzz game, Whacky Crackers, and Choc in a Sock. GIANT GAMES ON THE STREET
Kids of all ages can have a go at Giant Chess, Giant Jenga and Giant Snakes & Ladders. SCHOOLYARD GAMES FOR AGES 7 – 77! Street events will include Hopscotch competitions, Skipping Rope Games, Hula Hoop knockouts, and Shoe-pairing races. There's even a Quiz to test your knowledge on Strand Street. INTERNATIONAL FOOD FAIR Delight your taste buds with flavours from across the world at this local Food Fair, and if you need more, why not have some popcorn or candyfloss from a street vendor. UNDER 6'S We haven't forgotten the youngest of all – there will be a Playzone for Toddlers with colour mats, slides, ball pools, and of course songs and music to keep happy. STREET ENTERTAINMENT & GRANDE FINALE
Just before the Rás arrives in town, professional entertainers will dazzle you with their amazing Magic & Cabaret Show, there will be madness with Fire jugglers, Unicyclists, Rollerblading, and magical mayhem for all to see. Then around 3pm share the thrills and excitement and cheer on with the crowd as the cyclists enter the town battling it out for the yellow jersey. MUSIC & DJ If that's enough a DJ will keep everyone moving to the beat and the event will be televised by RTE with highlights broadcast afterwards. TRAFFIC & OTHER ARRANGEMENTS Rolling road closures will take place as the peloton travels around the course A section of Strand Street from the Church to Kingstons Hardware will be closed to traffic from 1.00pm to 3.30pm The Skerries Mills Car Park will be used for the riders and their support vehicles after the race.
