Welcome to the Skerries FBD Rás final stage website.

My cycling friends in McNally Joinery Swords CC, Cycling Ireland and IVCA will appreciate how proud and excited I am that the FBD RÁS final stage will be staged here in my hometown of Skerries on Sunday the 27th of May 2007. It promises to be a cracking event and a great day out for all.

As the Skerries Stage-End Race Organiser, it gives me great pleasure to welcome the riders and support teams to our seaside town, I trust that their visit here will be a pleasant and memorable one.

The people of the town, residents and business people alike have made a special effort to make sure that the participants and spectators of the FBD RÁS have whatever resources they require at their disposal.

I would like to thank all those who gave us their support, in particular I would like to thank my fellow RÁS/Skerries stage-end committee members who's hard work and dedication are making it possible for Skerries to host this year's event, they are Jane Landy, Brendan Ryan, Michael Johnston from Skerries Community Association, Andy Tolan of Skerries Tourism, Greg Redden from the Skerries Chamber of Commerce and my follow cycling enthusiast Pat Halpin, in addition I would also like to thank my wife Fidelma who has given me tremendous support over the last number of months in the run up to what is probably one of the biggest and most prestigous events to come to Skerries.
